Volvo XC40 Trim Levels

Volvo XC40 Core

We start with the Volvo XC40 Core. This trim level comes with a luxury exterior, featuring 18-inch 5-double spoke Black Diamond Cut wheels, tinted rear windows, and body-colored door handles. It also has power retractable door mirrors.

The Volvo XC40 Core also has a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that produces 195 horsepower. While it comes standard with front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive (AWD) is available on every trim level.

Step inside the Volvo XC40 Core to enjoy the heated front seats and power-adjustable driver's seat-two amenities that put the focus on comfort. The driver seat memory feature and 4-way power lumbar support are also included as comfort amenities in this trim level.

There's also plenty of technology, with the 12-inch instrument panel and 9-inch touchscreen. You can connect your smartphone with the help of Bluetooth®, providing the ability to stream music and make hands-free calls.

The touchscreen monitor also includes a Park Assist Camera and other intelligent safety features. These systems include the BLIS™ (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping Aid, and Rear Park Assist.

Volvo XC40 Plus

Next up is the Volvo XC40 Plus. This trim level includes a lot of similar features as the Core trim, including the same powertrain.

There are upgrades to the exterior, such as a laminated panoramic moonroof, a high-gloss black front grille with chrome frame, and bright aluminum side window trim. 

The interior gets an upgrade with driftwood décor, glossy black tunnel console, and genuine crystal gear selector knob by Orrefors®. The seats also get a boost with manual front seat cushion extensions and a power-adjustable front passenger seat.  

You also get additional cargo space with a foldable and removable floor in the trunk that allows for extra cargo volume. There are grocery bag hooks that can keep things within the trunk organized and prevent items from sliding around.

The Plus trim also offers more technology as well, including both Rear and Front Park Assist and HomeLink® that enables you to connect your garage door, home alarm, and exterior lighting to your Volvo.

Volvo XC40 Ultimate

The final trim level is the Volvo XC40 Ultimate. The key style additions to this trim level are the glossy black roof rails, the Cutting Edge aluminum interior décor, and the 19-inch 5-Y spoke Graphite Diamond Cut alloy wheels. 

More tech, both for safety and infotainment, are present also, including the 360-degree camera and the Harmon Kardon® Premium Sound system. It features 13 speakers and an air-ventilated subwoofer to turn the inside of your Volvo XC40 into a high-fidelity surround-sound experience.
