When Should I Service My Volvo?
For Volvo models released before 2013, the recommended Factory Scheduled Maintenance interval is once a year or every 7,500 miles, whichever comes first. For any models released in 2013 and newer, the first recommended maintenance interval is extended to once a year or every 10,000 miles.
However, it's important to note that every vehicle is different. The current odometer reading, fuel type, size, and driving conditions all play a factor in when you should first bring your Volvo in for a checkup.

General Maintenance Timeline
Here's what we recommend for your vehicle, depending on where you are in your car-ownership journey.
Service 1: Approximately 10,000 miles
Your Volvo's first 10,000-mile checkup includes some common maintenance items, like an oil and filter change with synthetic oil, a chassis inspection, and an update to any technical software. If applicable, we also clean the windshield in front of the Intellisafe support camera.
Service 2: Approximately 20,000 miles
Now that your Volvo has traveled 20,000 miles, it can use a bit of sprucing up. Again, we'll perform an oil and filter change with synthetic oil and a chassis inspection. At this point, we'll also add a wear and tear inspection as well as replacing the passenger compartment air filter. Similarly, we'll update any technical software and clean the windshield in front of any safety and support cameras.
Service 3: Approximately 30,000 miles
At this point in your Volvo's journey, it's all about maintaining your vehicle. That's why you'll find the same services being performed, including an oil and filter change, a chassis inspection, and technical software updates.
Service 4: Approximately 40,000 miles
Along with the regular oil and filter change, wear and tear, and chassis inspection, at this point, we'll replace the passenger compartment air filter again. We'll also check the engine air filter and the brake fluid.
